Deliaphonic

A performance piece dedicated to one of the pioneers of electronic music, Delia Derbyshire. Also known as ‘Sculptress of sound’, Delia uses manipulation techniques to the analog audio by playing it at different speeds, reversed, cut, joined and processed using reverb or EQ.

Based on a text by Francis Bacon, ‘The New Atlantis’, this performance uses analog pedals to re-create vocal sound parallel to the ‘vision of the future’ from the text.
